Celebration of Spoolex’s 70th Anniversary: An Unforgettable Event
On October 31st, Spoolex had the pleasure of celebrating its 70th anniversary. This milestone was an opportunity to bring together current and former employees, along with co-founder Jean-François Calemard, around our General Director, Cyrille Pontet, for a memorable evening.
A Festive Evening
The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, marked by a cocktail dinner and numerous fun activities such as darts, billiards, and even karaoke. These moments of sharing helped strengthen the bonds among team members, both past and present, while celebrating the collective history of our company.
Honoring Employee Loyalty
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of symbolic awards to employees who have shown remarkable loyalty, with some having over 20, 30, or even 40 years of service. Cyrille Pontet emphasized the lasting commitment of each individual and the richness of our collective adventure, paying tribute to all those who have contributed to the vitality of Spoolex over the years.
A Unique Keepsake
To commemorate this anniversary, each current and former employee received a unique wine gift set, crafted during a creative workshop organized by our Management Committee at La Vinifacture. The bottles featured personalized labels created from collective artworks made by the entire staff. This artistic gesture symbolized our team spirit and our shared 70-year history.
Conclusion
This celebration was a moment filled with emotions, characterized by conviviality and sharing. We look forward to reuniting with all our employees in 10 years to blow out the 80 candles for Spoolex together. Some important dates for Spoolex:
- 1955: Company founded. The company initially served the local label and ribbon market and quickly became a benchmark in textile processing machinery with its Calemard brand
- 1975: Launch of our first range of ultrasonic cutting/welding devices.
- 1985: Design of the first alveolar aluminum rollers.
- 1991: Creation of Roll Concept to support the market launch of Alveotube® aluminum profiles, specially designed for lightweight roller applications.
- 1996: Decoup+ was created as an independent company for the manufacture and marketing of our ultrasonic cutting/welding devices.
- At the end of October 2010, the three companies merged into the parent company Spoolex. By combining complementary specialties, this merger allows us to increase our level of expertise in our sectors of activity and thus provide our customers with an even higher quality of service.
